I RETAINING GOD'S WORD

Joshua 1:8 says: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth.

• Retain God's word by storing information efficiently.

• Store:  To put something in a place for future use.

 II RENEWING THE MIND

Joshua 1:8 says next: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night.

• Renew your mind by studying God's word effectively.

• Study:  The devotion of time and attention to acquiring knowledge.  

III RECEIVING GOD'S WORD

Joshua 1:8 continues: that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: 

• Receive God's word by striving for biblical  excellence.

• Strive:  To make earnest effort to achieve or obtain something.

 

IV REAPING THE HARVEST

Joshua 1:8 concludes; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

• Reap the Harvest by standing firm in earnest expectation.

• Stand: To endure, bear patiently or undergo successfully.
